Pyronix GPRS Communication Module with World SIM
What it Does:
The Pyronix GPRS Communication Module allows an alarm system to transmit data via the GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) network. It is primarily used to provide a communication path for reporting alarm events to a monitoring station, or to allow remote control and monitoring of the system via apps like ProControl+.
The included World SIM enables global connectivity, making the module versatile for international installations without worrying about local SIM availability.
How it Works:
Integration with Alarm System:
The module connects to the Pyronix control panel (such as Enforcer or Euro panels).
It transmits alarm signals, system status updates, and other data via GPRS to a monitoring station or cloud server.
Communication:
It uses mobile data (GPRS) as the primary communication channel.
The World SIM ensures reliable coverage by selecting the strongest available mobile network, regardless of the country.
Remote Access:
Users can remotely arm/disarm and monitor their alarm system through apps like ProControl+.
Alerts and notifications are sent to smartphones or monitoring services.
Failover Communication:
Often used as a backup to primary communication methods like broadband or landline, ensuring uninterrupted reporting in case of outages.
Where it is Installed:
Inside the Alarm Panel or Enclosure:
The GPRS module is typically installed inside the alarm control panel or a nearby compatible enclosure.
It connects directly to the alarm control panel’s communication bus.
Areas with Reliable Cellular Coverage:
Ensure the installation site has sufficient cellular network strength for GPRS communication.
If cellular reception is weak, an external antenna can be added (if supported by the module).
Key Benefits:
Ensures alarms are always reported, even in areas without broadband.
Easy global installation with the World SIM.
Supports remote monitoring and control via mobile apps.
